Yen Strange’s new single follows on from her debut, ‘Donnie Darko’, back in July. ‘Go Away’ is emo-pop at its finest: dark and gloomy, heavy in places, but with melody and texture at its core. It manages to bring together influences from the bouncy world of pop-punk and modern hip=hop well, without overdoing anything. On the track’s background, she says: “You know when you think people will be there forever then one day you just don’t think that anymore. It’s so hard when things change. I don’t feel as sick to my stomach anymore when I think about it, but I still agree with what I said when I wrote this.” -Dan Peeke
